He seduces and captivates Holly (and the reader) with his boyish teasing flirtations coupled with his powerful seductive magnetism and sexual allure. Cole gradually unfolds layers of his personality, his agenda, goals, fears, regrets, and ambitions. Loyal to his brother, his kingdom, and his quest to reclaim it, Cadeon is motivated to redeem and correct past deeds; to alleviate the guilt and poor life-altering decisions.
Yep, this is a good one; the best, (so far). In his quest to reclaim Rothkalina, his brother’s throne and his family’s legacy, the conflicted, Cadeon plans to barter with Groot, to exchange Holly, the Vessel, for the powerful sword, the only weapon capable of killing his formidable enemy, the sorcerer Omort. Will he be able to complete his mission? Will he be able to betray Holly, especially since he is convinced that Holly is his mate?
Cadeon’s monitored and protected her from afar. He doesn’t understand the attraction, the draw for this vulnerable, OCD “human” female that he cannot have. She can’t be his… NFW! Yet, he feels this irresistible urge to possess her, to claim her as his own. Cadeon helps Holly transition from her human existence to full Valkyrie. He encourages her to accept her heritage, to embrace her newfound physical and mental abilities. To his credit, Cadeon teaches Holly how to survive; teaches her self-defense and weapon fighting.
Their nail-biting adventure is filled with unpredictable twist and turns as Cadeon and Holly learn more about each other; learn to trust, share their inner emotional conflicts, weaknesses, and turmoil.
